Founded amid farms on the outskirts of Louisville, St. Francis has been a part of the Highlands neighborhood since its very beginnings. Those first members from the 1880's have passed down to us a tradition of lively worship, excellent education and dedicated service that continues into the 21st century.

We strive to make our parish a place where all are welcome to seek the Lord, to praise His goodness and to serve Him by serving our neighborhood and the world.

"Seek the well being of the city to which I have sent you. Pray for it to the Lord. For in seeking its well being you shall find your own." - Jeremiah 29:7

Our new 5 year strategic plan summed up is: To make Saint Francis of Assisi: -

The most hospitable parish in the world,
The most connected in the world, and
The most committed in the world.
